Welcome-

Death Mage.jpgThe group was originally called Knight's Passage, but its more popular name now is Styroblast. This wikispace is designed both to help newcomers jump right into the action even before they march onto the battlefield and for the more experienced to brush up on the latest news. This site is also designed to help fellow participants share equipment and weapon constructing ideas, as well a place to get current news on Styroblast battles and events.

What exactly is Styroblast?
Styroblast is a boffer fighting group that makes weapons out of plastic or wood materials, covers them in foam and duct tape, and fights in battles with other people who have done likewise. A LARP group (Live Action Role Play) that cos-plays and hosts battles. It is open to people of ages twelve and up. Lots of teenagers and adults have participated in battles already! Check out the Faction page to learn about the different battle classes/divisions.
In addiiton to Larp Battles, Styroblast hosts Nerf battles as well! For more about that, look over at our Nerf page.

Why does Styroblast exist?
Because it's fun.

How can I get started in Styroblast?
Glad you asked, it's simple, fun, and rather easy. First things first, come up with your own Battle Name (a name by which you can be known as, and this name can be used for both Nerf and Styroblast Larp battles. Emblems are also great to create along with your Battle Name). It can be whatever you'd like, just don't use your full name. The second thing is to show up to battles; you can't get very involved without joining in on the fun. And third, for those who like the Styroblast Larp Battles, you can create your own battle gear! Anything from armor to melee weapons, ranged weapons to shields. Then you can bring your gear to battles and fight with your own craftsmanship. [Head to the Crafting page to learn about gear-constructing guidelines to follow].
